Grande Fratello Vip 9 premieres with Ilary Blasi and early contestant tensions

The ninth season of Grande Fratello Vip has premiered on Canale 5, hosted by Ilary Blasi alongside commentators Cesara Buonamici and Selvaggia Lucarelli. The debut episode drew 1.879 million viewers, capturing a 16.9% share.

During the broadcast, host Ilary Blasi addressed her recent personal life, noting her divorce from Francesco Totti and her subsequent marriage to Bastian Müller. This led to a pointed exchange involving Selvaggia Lucarelli, who made a remark regarding the timing of Totti and Noemi Bocchi’s relationship anniversary, sparking social media discussion.

Inside the house, tensions have already emerged among the contestants. Megan Ria addressed rumors regarding her past relationship with Franceska Nuredini and her connection to singer Elodie, clarifying that her bond with Nuredini was purely a friendship. Other notable developments include the return of Marina La Rosa, who commented on her past rivalry with Cristina Plevani, and Alessandro Varsi, who faced scrutiny over comments made about his ex-partner, Carlotta Cocina.

The cast includes a mix of returning personalities and new faces, such as Carmen Di Pietro and Alessandro Roncaccia, as the competition begins its first official phase of nominations and house dynamics.
