Michelle Monaghan returns to Indonesia to see Komodo dragons

Actress Michelle Monaghan returned to Indonesia for a second trip specifically to visit the Komodo National Park. During an appearance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’, Monaghan shared that her initial visit to the country was a family surfing holiday.

While filming ‘The Whisper Man’ with Robert De Niro, Monaghan mentioned her trip to the actor. De Niro asked if she had seen the Komodo dragons, prompting her to realize she had missed the endemic species. Following De Niro’s suggestion to return, Monaghan organized a second family trip to see the lizards.

Monaghan noted that after seeing the dragons, she sent a photo to De Niro to show she had followed his recommendation. De Niro reportedly replied to the photo by jokingly expressing disappointment that she had not taken a picture riding on the dragon’s back.
