Michelle Obama names her Mount Rushmore of female athletes

Former First Lady Michelle Obama has identified her “Mount Rushmore” of female athletes, selecting four women she considers among the greatest of all time. During an appearance on the podcast “Is She Game?”, Obama chose tennis players Serena Williams and Billie Jean King, former WNBA star Lisa Leslie, and gymnast Simone Biles.

Obama specifically praised Biles, referring to her as a “G.O.A.T.” (Greatest of All Time). She highlighted the immense physical ability and mental stamina required for gymnastics, noting the high level of conditioning and the intense pressure athletes face within the sport. Biles acknowledged the recognition on social media following the announcement.
