Michelle Rodriguez criticizes Fast & Furious franchise direction

Actress Michelle Rodriguez has criticized the creative direction of the Fast & Furious franchise, specifically targeting the plot of F9 which involved characters traveling into space. Speaking at the 25th anniversary of the original film, Rodriguez expressed a desire for the series to return to its roots in car racing and its core community.

Vin Diesel has provided updates regarding the upcoming 11th and final installment, titled Fast Forever. Diesel stated that filming is scheduled to begin this December, provided studio requests are met. He noted that the project has undergone four years of development and multiple writers to ensure a worthy conclusion to the series. Fast Forever is expected to be released in March 2028.
