Michelle Woodhouse appointed as Salvation Army leader in Sheringham

Major Michelle Woodhouse has been appointed as the new leader of The Salvation Army in Sheringham, Norfolk. Having grown up in nearby Fakenham, Woodhouse returns to the region after serving in various capacities across the country.

Woodhouse’s previous ministry includes work in Belfast supporting homeless families, a decade spent working with homeless women in Liverpool, and serving as The Salvation Army’s divisional children’s officer in East Anglia. She has also led churches in Wellingborough and Boston.

In her new role, Woodhouse aims to focus on building community connections and visibility. The Sheringham branch currently provides several services, including a food bank, a drop-in centre, Food Connect, and a charity shop.
