Michelle Yeoh Receives Asian Filmmaker of the Year Award at Busan Festival

Actress Michelle Yeoh will be presented with the Asian Filmmaker of the Year award at the 31st Busan International Film Festival in South Korea. The ceremony takes place during the festival’s opening on 6 October, which runs until 15 October.

The honor recognises Yeoh’s four‑decade contribution to Asian cinema, from her early Hong Kong action films such as “Yes, Madam!” and “Police Story III” to her Oscar‑winning role in “Everything Everywhere All at Once”. As part of the tribute, Yeoh selected three films for a special showcase – “Reign of Assassins”, “Everything Everywhere All at Once”, and “Sandiwara” – and her latest Chinese‑language film “It’s My Time” will also premiere at the event.
