Michelle Zepeda detained after fatal motorcycle collision in Guadalajara

Michelle Zepeda, a weather presenter for N+ Guadalajara, has been placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry following a traffic accident that resulted in the death of a 19-year-old motorcyclist.

The collision occurred around 5:00 AM on Thursday, September 17, at the intersection of Enrique Díaz de León Avenue and Juárez-Vallarta in Guadalajara, Jalisco. The victim, identified as Jostin Santamaría, was riding a black and red Crossfox 220 motorcycle and died at the scene. The accident involved a Kia SUV.

The Jalisco State Prosecutor's Office confirmed that Zepeda did not flee the scene, despite rumors circulating on social media. She received medical attention for minor injuries caused by glass and impacts before being taken into custody. Authorities are currently reviewing C5 Urban Shield camera footage and conducting expert reports to determine the exact cause of the crash, including whether a stop sign was ignored. The victim's partner has publicly demanded information regarding the legal status of the presenter.
