Michigan adds new online casino operators as sports betting market grows

Michigan's regulated gambling market saw the launch of two new online casino operators. bet365 Casino began operating in April 2026, becoming the only new entrant that year, while Hard Rock Bet Casino entered the market in December 2025 and has reported about $20 million in gross gaming revenue each month through June 2026. Established platforms such as FanDuel, BetMGM and DraftKings continue to dominate the state’s online casino landscape.

Sports betting in Michigan remains legal both online and in‑person. Retail wagering started in March 2020 and online betting launched in January 2021 under the Lawful Sports Betting Act overseen by the Michigan Gaming Control Board. As of January 2026, twelve licensed operators offer internet sports betting, with major apps like DraftKings and FanDuel highlighted for their market depth and user experience.
