Michigan automotive industry eyes AI-driven manufacturing revolution

Michigan’s automotive industry is facing a potential revolution driven by artificial intelligence, robotics, and advanced manufacturing. Glenn Stevens Jr., executive director of Mich Auto, suggests the state's next chapter may focus on developing the intelligent machines used in production rather than just the vehicles themselves.

While Michigan possesses the necessary engineering talent and industrial infrastructure, Stevens noted that the state must accelerate workforce development and navigate the challenges of trade tariffs to maintain its competitive edge in AI-driven manufacturing.
