Michigan begins early in-person voting ahead of midterms

Michigan is entering the final two weeks of the 2026 midterm election cycle. Early in-person voting is scheduled to begin this weekend, running from Saturday, October 24, through Sunday, November 1.

Key election timelines for Michigan voters include the October 19 deadline for mail or online voter registration. Following this, voters may only register in person at local clerk offices. As of mid-October, Michigan has reported approximately 670,000 residents have already cast absentee ballots.

Political attention remains focused on the Michigan Senate race. Candidates and analysts are evaluating key contests across the state as the November 3 Election Day approaches.
