Michigan communities host Halloween-related events and seasonal preparations

In Manistique, Michigan, New House Junction will host a ‘Wild West Spooktacular’ on October 23 to benefit the family of Brad Benard, a former Inwood Township Volunteer Fire Department chief who passed away in September. The event will feature food trucks, a makers’ market, outdoor movies, and various family-friendly activities. Participating vendors have agreed to donate a percentage of their proceeds to the Benard family, and the sale of ‘Light the Night’ bracelets will also support them.

In Hartford, Michigan, the specialty store Artes & Craft is preparing for the Halloween season. The shop, which serves the Pagan, Wicca, and witchcraft communities, offers a wide range of incense, books, stones, and an apothecary with over 200 herbs and 110 essential oils. The owners emphasize an inclusive environment for customers of various faiths.
