Michigan cornerback Shamari Earls shows starter-level play
Michigan Wolverines sophomore cornerback Shamari Earls is showing significant improvement during fall camp. Cornerbacks coach Jernaro Gilford noted that Earls has matured and is ‘playing like a starter’ following his development over the last eight months.
Standing 6-foot-2 and approximately 200 pounds, Earls has seen limited playing time in previous seasons due to technique development and injuries. However, his physical tools and recent growth suggest he could play a major role in the defensive rotation for the upcoming season.
