Michigan football sees progress from Bryce Underwood and running backs

Michigan head coach Kyle Whittingham has expressed high praise for sophomore quarterback Bryce Underwood following the first six days of preseason camp. Whittingham graded Underwood an ‘A-plus’, noting that the quarterback is significantly more advanced than he was at the conclusion of the spring season. Offensive coordinator Jason Beck highlighted Underwood’s work ethic, quick learning ability, and confidence, while noting that the coaching staff is currently focusing on refining his pocket footwork.

In addition to the development of Underwood, offensive coordinator Jason Beck identified the running back group as a primary strength for the Wolverines. The rotation is expected to feature Jordan Marshall, Savion Hiter, and Bryson Kuzdzal. Beck noted that the program aims to maintain its national reputation for rushing success, utilizing multiple backs to help score points and sustain the offense.
