Michigan State football faces injury crisis ahead of Wisconsin game

Michigan State football faces significant challenges heading into a matchup against Wisconsin following a 31-13 loss to Nebraska. The Spartans are dealing with a mounting injury crisis, most notably the loss of star running back Cam Edwards, who has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.

Head coach Pat Fitzgerald also noted uncertainty regarding the status of several other starters, including Tre Bell, Tyran Chappell, Jordan Hall, Brady Pretzlaff, and Conner Moore. The team enters the contest with a 2-2 overall record and a 0-1 record in Big Ten play.

In contrast, the Wisconsin Badgers enter the game with momentum after a 17-point comeback victory against No. 13 Penn State. The upcoming game features key individual matchups, such as the battle in the trenches between Michigan State center Trent Fraley and Wisconsin defensive tackle Hammond Russell IV.
