Michigan wide receivers Marsh and Buchanan lead offense amid WR3 competition
Michigan’s wide receiver corps is currently led by standout performances from JJ Buchanan and Andrew Marsh. Buchanan leads the team with 396 receiving yards, while Marsh has recorded consecutive 100-yard games against UTEP and Iowa. Both players are currently in contention to become the first Michigan receiver to reach 1,000 yards in a single season since 2013.
Despite the success of the top two receivers, the team faces uncertainty regarding the third wide receiver position. While freshman Salesi Moa has seen recent action, transfer Jaime Ffrench has played limited snaps, appearing in only two games. However, wide receivers coach Micah Simon indicated that Ffrench has been practicing well and may see increased playing time as the season progresses. Simon noted the difficulty in rotating players due to the high level of play from Marsh and Buchanan.
