Michiko Shimizu and Knights form ‘Minauts’ trio for special performance

A special one-night-only comedy trio named ‘Minauts’ has been formed by entertainer Michiko Shimizu and the comedy duo Knights. The group is set to perform a special manzai routine on the October 18 broadcast of the Nippon TV variety program ‘Shoten’.

This performance is part of a collaborative project between ‘Shoten’, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary, and the long-running Nippon Broadcasting radio program ‘Takada Fumio no Radio Beverly Hiruzu’. The collaboration is facilitated by Shunpuutei Shota, who serves as the host of ‘Shoten’ and a regular personality on ‘Beverly Hiruzu’.

The Knights prepared the script, incorporating Shimizu’s signature topical commentary and impressions. While the performers noted the unique tension of performing on the ‘Shoten’ stage compared to their weekly radio appearances, they emphasized that the routine was designed to be enjoyable for both radio listeners and the national television audience.
