Michio Hoshino photography exhibition to be held in Ichikawa

A mini photography exhibition dedicated to Michio Hoshino, a renowned photographer and writer, will be held at the Ichikawa Ekimae Museum from September 26 to October 4, 2026. The event commemorates the 30th anniversary of his passing and features works from the collection of Ichikawa City, focusing on the theme of “coexistence between eternal nature and people.”

The exhibition showcases Hoshino’s observations of wildlife and human life in vast natural settings, such as Alaska. To accompany the display, special events will be held: a flute duo concert on September 26 featuring Kanae Kikuchi and Konatsu Murakami, and a reading event on September 27 where the Ichikawa Folklore Society will read selections from his books, including “The Traveling Tree.” Admission to the museum is free.
