Michitaka Tsutsui to debut in ‘Aibo season 25’ as Prime Minister

Actor Michitaka Tsutsui will make his first appearance in the long-running TV Asahi drama ‘Aibo’ in the season 25 premiere special, titled ‘PM Crisis’. Tsutsui will portray the incumbent Prime Minister, Hiromi Mizoguchi, a highly popular and honest leader. The episode, scheduled to air on October 21, involves an investigation into the stabbing of the Prime Minister's aide and a potential scandal involving a secret held by the Prime Minister.

Additionally, actor Ryo Kimura will return to the series for the first time in eight years, playing Daijiro Mitsuya, a highly capable research assistant with a complex dual nature. The season marks the 12th season for the series, which holds the record for the longest-running continuous drama in Japan, featuring the duo Ukyo Sugishita, played by Yutaka Mizutani, and Kaoru Kazama, played by Yasufumi Terawaki.
