Michoacan expands services for women with new free centre and digital training

The Secretariat of Equality and Development of Women in Michoacan (Seimujer) inaugurated the free Centro LIBRE in Tuzantla on 3 June 2026. The centre provides free psychological counseling, legal advice, social work, and community support, and runs economic‑empowerment workshops such as nail‑design and candle‑making. Officials said, “Las mujeres de Tuzantla no están solas. Este Centro LIBRE está para acompañarlas, orientarlas y brindarles atención cuando lo necesiten.”

In Morelia, the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) organized a digital‑training workshop titled Canva Pro for nine women victims of gender‑based violence. Conducted at the Integral Justice Center for Women (CJIM) in partnership with the Alliance of Women Entrepreneurs, the course aims to improve participants’ ability to market products and increase economic autonomy.
