Morelia to finish heavy‑machinery work on teleférico and Morebús by August

Governor Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla announced that the heavy‑machinery phase for Station 4 of the Morelia teleférico and the adjacent Morebús corridor near the Obelisco on Lázaro Cárdenas will be completed by the end of August. After this work, vehicle traffic in the area will be fully restored, benefiting thousands of drivers and public‑transport users. Crews are operating day and night during the vacation period to minimise traffic disruption. The Morebús project also includes hydraulic works, coordinated with Conagua, to mitigate seasonal flooding in the city’s western neighborhoods. Morebús is planned to serve more than 120 000 daily passengers with modern, accessible buses, and overall construction progress is about 11 % with two kilometres already built. The governor was accompanied by Secretary of Urban Development and Mobility María Elena Huerta Moctezuma during the supervision tour.
