Mexico states implement social welfare and infrastructure programs

Various Mexican states are implementing social welfare and infrastructure programs. In Michoacán, the government is supporting families of children with cancer through the 'Familias Cuidadoras' program. This initiative provides 4,000 pesos monthly to caregivers, who are 90% women, to help cover medical and living expenses. Since 2022, 836 families have been supported with an investment exceeding 86 million pesos.

In Sonora, the government has doubled its housing goal to 65,000 'Viviendas del Bienestar' units. This expansion follows the state's provision of required land reserves to the federal government. Meanwhile, the State of Mexico has reported an investment of over 19.8 billion pesos for public works, including road reconstruction, mass transport projects like the Mexicable Line 3, and flood prevention infrastructure.

Educational initiatives are also expanding. The Telebachillerato Comunitario system in the State of Mexico is celebrating 13 years of service, while Morelos is seeing new higher education and high school facilities under the National Baccalaureate System. Additionally, Michoacán has launched a program to distribute 10,000 handcrafted guitars to secondary schools to support both arts education and local artisans.
