Morena party launches nationwide assemblies to defend sovereignty

The Morena party has launched a nationwide series of approximately 202 informative assemblies across Mexico's 32 states. These gatherings, organized by the National Executive Committee, focus on defending national sovereignty and the ‘Fourth Transformation’ movement. The mobilization follows the news that Andrés Manuel López Beltrán, son of the former president, had his U.S. visa canceled, an event he described as an ‘imminent onslaught to national sovereignty.’

In the State of Mexico, regional leaders such as LuzMa Hernández Bermúdez have emphasized that the party will not act as a ‘cover’ for illegal activities and have called for unity in support of President Claudia Sheinbaum. Similar assemblies have been held in Coacalco and Michoacán to strengthen territorial organization and address community demands.

Separately, federal and state authorities have presented progress on the Master Plan for the High and Low Mountains of Guerrero. This initiative involves 19 agencies working to improve security, welfare, and peace in communities within Atlixtac, Chilapa de Álvarez, Olinalá, and Zapotitlán Tablas.
