Michoacán Governor inaugurates Centros Libre in Huetamo and Carácuaro
Governor Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla has inaugurated new Centros Libre for women in the Michoacán municipalities of Huetamo and Carácuaro. These centers are part of a federal initiative from the Government of Mexico designed to provide comprehensive support and tools for women's empowerment.
These two new locations join a network of 127 existing Centros Libre in Michoacán, which includes services in both municipal centers and indigenous communities. Alejandra Anguiano González, Secretary of Substantive Equality and Development of Michoacán Women, noted that nearly 900,000 pesos have been allocated for 2025 to support these spaces, following an investment of approximately one million pesos this year to expand program reach.
