The Calypso Networks Association (CNA) has recognized Michoacán for developing an Integrated Mobility System that utilizes international wireless technology standards. This technological ecosystem aims to link the Morebús bus system with the cable cars in Morelia and Uruapan, allowing for seamless, contactless payments across different modes of transport.

In Uruapan, the technology is already active within the local cable car and public transport network. Plans are underway to extend this interoperable system to the Morelia cable car and the Morebús service. The implementation of the Calypso standard is intended to create a scalable and adaptable network that can incorporate future transport modalities and digital payment solutions.

Additionally, the Morebús project focuses on universal accessibility to comply with national and international disability rights legislation. The system is designed to benefit over 300,000 residents in western Morelia. To ensure inclusion, the transport units feature low floors, folding ramps, tactile signage, and priority seating for individuals with reduced mobility.
