Michoacán reports two fatal incidents in Peribán and Morelia
Two separate fatal incidents were reported in the state of Michoacán, Mexico.
In Peribán, a 53-year-old man identified as Jesús E. was found dead in a ravine near a river close to the Corona community. He had been reported missing after going to the El Rincón hill for hunting activities. Search efforts involving family members, local residents, and civil protection personnel located his body in a difficult-to-access area on Sunday afternoon. Authorities from the State Attorney General's Office are investigating the cause of death.
In Morelia, a 29-year-old man named Carlos F. was killed following a pursuit on Cointzio Avenue. Armed individuals in a gray vehicle intercepted the victim while he was driving a blue Chevrolet Trax. After a short pursuit, the attackers fired multiple shots at the vehicle, causing the driver to lose control. Emergency services confirmed the victim had died at the scene due to multiple gunshot wounds. The State Attorney General's Office has secured the area and initiated an investigation.
