Uruapan receives 28.5 billion pesos for strategic projects

In Uruapan, Michoacán, federal and state governments have allocated 28.542 billion pesos toward 20 strategic projects. These investments focus on road infrastructure, such as the Siglo XXI highway expansion, as well as healthcare, education, and water management to benefit over 360,000 residents.

In a separate regional development effort, the Michoacán Secretary of Tourism has partnered with Cooperativa Pascual to use Boing product packaging as a platform for tourism promotion. This campaign aims to showcase the state's cultural and natural attractions, including the Day of the Dead celebrations, to a national audience.

Additionally, the city of Tampico has introduced six new tourism products through the Colmenas Creativas Tampico 2026 initiative. These offerings include birdwatching, walking tours, and lagoon-based experiences designed to diversify the local tourism market and attract more visitors to southern Tamaulipas.

Meanwhile, in Morelia, environmental authorities are implementing technical measures to ensure the survival of trees transplanted during the Morebús transit system construction. Efforts include specialized soil preparation, nutrient application, and constant monitoring to mitigate transplant stress.
