Michoacán universities boost education and human‑rights cooperation
Rector Yarabí Ávila of the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo highlighted the broader benefits of higher education for students, families and the state of Michoacán, urging parents to support enrolment and participation in university life.
The State Human Rights Commission of Michoacán signed a collaboration agreement with Universidad Ágora Hispanoamericana to carry out joint training, professional development and promotion of human‑rights culture. The pact includes scholarship opportunities for commission staff to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate programs, as well as the exchange of teaching materials and expert lecturers.
Both initiatives aim to strengthen academic opportunities, research, sport, culture and respect for human rights in the region.
