Jalisco reaches 100 gold medals at 2026 National Paralympics

The 2026 CONADE National Paralympics in Jalisco are seeing significant medal tallies across various disciplines. The host state, Jalisco, has reached 100 gold medals, supported by a delegation of 317 athletes.

In paranatanning, several states have shown strong performances. Michoacán has accumulated 30 medals, including nine golds, following successful sessions in butterfly and breaststroke events. Aguascalientes has reached 35 medals in the discipline, led by gold medalists such as Alexander Marmolejo and Daniel Marmolejo. Tamaulipas has secured 11 medals, with Gabriel Arvizo Camero winning two golds in butterfly and freestyle.

Other notable individual performances include Sinaloa's Ximena Reyes Hampl, who earned two gold medals in the S5 classification, and Baja California Sur's Carlos Iván Patrón Geraldo, who secured silver and bronze in the S14 class. The competition, which includes over 4,500 para-athletes from 32 states, is being held in Guadalajara and Zapopan.
