Mick Foley was announced by AEW owner Tony Khan as the co‑host of the Double or Nothing "Buy In" pre‑show, joining Renee Paquette. Jim Ross, speaking on AEW’s Grilling JR program, praised the hire as a "great get" for Khan, noting Foley’s name recognition and credibility.

Ross said he doubts Foley will wrestle a full match at the event, but expects the veteran may take part in limited physical spots such as a few punches or a mandible‑claw maneuver.
