Mick Foley praises AEW for roster depth and meaningful programming
Wrestling Hall of Famer Mick Foley stated that All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has been more engaging than WWE due to its ability to make its entire roster feel purposeful. Speaking on ‘The Mick and Kenny Show’, Foley noted that after taking a break from following the industry, he found AEW’s programming more resonant.
Foley specifically praised the company for making the ‘middle of the card meaningful’, noting that AEW provides a sense of importance to a wide variety of performers rather than focusing solely on a small group of top stars. He remarked to AEW President Tony Khan that it was a ‘marvel’ how every wrestler seems to play a specific role.
Foley also highlighted the depth of the AEW roster, suggesting that the booking allows almost any performer to realistically contend for a world title. Additionally, he commended AEW’s approach to the tag team division, noting that the company places value on established teams rather than simply pairing singles stars together.
