Mick Jagger’s Advice Keeps Duran Duran United

Nick Rhodes, keyboardist of Duran Duran, said Mick Jagger urged the band to stay together during a split in 1985. Jagger told Rhodes, “You really do need to stick together. That is your future,” helping the group avoid breaking up while members pursued side projects such as Arcadia and The Power Station.

The band later marked its 50th anniversary, noting that the chemistry that Jagger praised remains intact. Rhodes highlighted the lasting bond and the band’s continued focus on making music together, with front‑man Simon Le Bon still at the helm.
