Mick Schumacher reaches Q2 in IndyCar Markham qualifying

Mick Schumacher achieved a career milestone at the IndyCar Markham Grand Prix by qualifying for the Q2 session for the first time on a non-oval circuit. Despite a technical issue where a tire required re-fastening and a timing error by his team during a red flag period, Schumacher secured a spot in the 'Fast Twelve' group.

Due to a penalty issued to Alexander Rossi for an unscheduled engine change, Schumacher will start the race from tenth position. The event in Markham, Ontario, represents the only non-American race on the current IndyCar calendar.
