Mick Schumacher targets technical fixes ahead of Markham IndyCar race

Mick Schumacher is preparing for the upcoming IndyCar race weekend in Markham, Canada, following a challenging performance in Portland. After finishing 16th in Portland, Schumacher and the Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing team expressed frustration over a lack of speed on straightaways, which cost the driver significant time per lap.

Schumacher has called for a complete teardown of the car to address these technical issues before the Markham event. Despite the setback in Oregon, the driver noted success in executing an overcut strategy and managing tire choices during the race.

The upcoming race in Markham, held on a 3.52-kilometer temporary street circuit, offers a familiar environment for the German driver. Unlike the standard US measurement systems used in IndyCar, Canada officially utilizes the metric system, meaning Schumacher will work with kilometers per hour, kilograms, and Celsius.
