Mickoski calls for national unity in North Macedonia

Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski has called for national unity to pursue North Macedonia’s strategic goals and European future. Speaking at the Memorial Ossuary in Kumánovo on the occasion of October 11, Mickoski emphasized that the country must move past political divisions, corruption, and poverty to build a stronger state.

Mickoski highlighted the need for significant reforms in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and institutions. He stated that the nation must focus on large-scale national objectives rather than small ambitions or personal interests. He specifically identified the struggle to retain young people as a primary national battle, urging the creation of a future where they do not have to choose between their homeland and their personal prospects.

The Prime Minister also noted recent economic indicators, including a 4.3 percent GDP growth in the second quarter, exports totaling 5.74 billion euros in the first eight months, and an increase in average net wages.
