Mickoski criticizes political alternatives in North Macedonia

North Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski has criticized emerging political alternatives, stating they insult and underestimate the citizens. He specifically addressed a group of former and current SDSM officials organized under the ‘Platform 12 and 5’, noting that their claim that voters have no choice but to support him and VMRO-DPMNE is an oxymoron.

Mickoski emphasized that North Macedonia requires a strong opposition to facilitate meaningful political debate with the government. He dismissed the opposition coalition led by DUI as consisting of old, exhausted structures, and characterized the Levica party as having failed to make a significant impact in Skopje, describing their performance as catastrophic.
