MicroBalkans 2026 conference opens in Skopje to discuss regional lending
The MicroBalkans 2026 – Lending Reimagined regional conference opened in Skopje, bringing together over 200 participants including financial sector representatives, investors, fintech companies, and regulators from the Western Balkans and Europe.

Nikola Joshevski, president of the Non-Banking Financial Institutions Group at the Chamber of Commerce of North Macedonia, emphasized that the industry must move toward lending with greater technology, responsibility, and client trust. Stefan Andonovski, Minister of Digital Transformation, noted that digital transformation and financial innovation must advance together, supported by secure digital infrastructure and clear regulations.
