Hakusan High School baseball team microbus hits height bar

A microbus carrying members of the Mie Prefectural Hakusan High School baseball team collided with a height restriction bar in Tsu City, Mie Prefecture. The accident occurred on a city road near a JR Meisho Line overpass while the team was traveling to Shiga Prefecture for an excursion.

The bus, which had a height of approximately 2.6 meters, struck a bar set at a 2-meter limit. The collision caused significant damage to the front upper portion of the vehicle.

Out of the 13 people on board, including 12 students and a 45-year-old teacher driving, several students were injured. Reports indicate that three first-year male students sustained serious injuries, including facial bone fractures, while three other students suffered bruises and other injuries. Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
