Micron Technology faces labor disputes and AI investment scrutiny

Micron Technology shares recently rose by 2.7% as part of a broader semiconductor sector recovery, following previous losses driven by concerns over the long-term profitability of massive artificial intelligence investments.

The company is currently managing labor issues across different locations in Taiwan. While Micron reached an agreement with the union at its Taichung site, employees at the Taoyuan plant participated in a one-day strike aimed at securing better bonus payments and profit-sharing arrangements.

In addition to labor developments, Micron has announced financing for Indium Corporation to secure its material supply chain.
