Micron Technology reshuffles leadership to meet AI memory demand
Micron Technology has announced a restructuring of its executive leadership to address the growing demand for memory solutions driven by artificial intelligence. The company has appointed two long-standing executives to expanded roles, effective immediately.
Manish Bhatia has been named President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this capacity, he will oversee global business units and operations, including manufacturing execution, investment results, supply chain, procurement, and customer demand. Dr. Scott DeBoer has been appointed President and Chief Technology and Products Officer, focusing on the continued development of memory and storage roadmaps.
Additionally, Sumit Sadana will transition to the role of Senior Advisor, working alongside CEO Sanjay Mehrotra. The company stated that these changes aim to align operations, manufacturing, and investment responsibilities more closely with its technological roadmap to meet the needs of both new and existing customers requiring specialized AI-driven memory solutions.
