Micron Technology sees AI-driven revenue surge despite executive stock sales

Micron Technology is experiencing a significant surge in demand driven by the global expansion of artificial intelligence. The Boise-based memory manufacturer reported third-quarter fiscal revenues of $41.46 billion, representing a 345.7% increase compared to the previous year and exceeding market expectations.

Despite this growth and a 228% increase in stock value over the past year, company executives sold approximately $181.8 million in shares during a three-month period.

Sumit Sadana, Micron's executive vice president and business director, noted that AI is reshaping storage demand at a pace that exceeds current manufacturing capacity. The company anticipates that demand will remain intense through 2026 and 2027. To support long-term growth, Micron has announced plans for the 'Micron Research Labs' as part of a $10 billion strategic investment.
