Microsoft 365 Copilot prompts security checks and new training programs

As Microsoft 365 Copilot is rolled out, organizations are advised to audit SharePoint permissions because the AI respects existing access controls but can expose documents if permissions are outdated. The native Dynamics 365–SharePoint connector does not automatically synchronize security changes, creating a risk of permission drift over time. Regular reviews and automated synchronization are recommended to prevent unintended access to CRM‑related files.

In Japan, training provider florbital has launched a two‑hour introductory course on Microsoft 365 Copilot. The program teaches safe AI usage, hallucination mitigation, and hands‑on skills with Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The course costs ¥22,000 per participant, is offered online or in person, and can be combined with Power Platform training to meet government grant requirements.
