Microsoft and SAP emphasize outcome‑based AI solutions for enterprises

Microsoft is working with South African partner Cloud On Demand to shift AI projects from proof‑of‑concept to measurable business outcomes. The approach stresses defining clear, quantifiable goals for clients before deployment, rather than focusing solely on technical capabilities. Brandon Singh, Head of Cloud Services at Cloud On Demand, notes that success hinges on “a measurable outcome the client can report to their leadership.”

SAP, meanwhile, outlined its vision for AI agents during its Q2 2026 earnings call, promising future tools such as Joule Work and an AI Agent Hub intended to streamline employee interaction with AI across the company’s portfolio. CEO Christian Klein said, “In the age of agentic AI, SAP is leading the way,” but the firm provided few concrete examples of current customer‑service improvements, citing upcoming Q3 launches and oversubscribed beta programmes instead.
