Microsoft announces end-of-support dates for Windows 11 and Windows Server

Microsoft has issued lifecycle warnings for several Windows products, signaling the end of regular security and non-security updates for specific versions.

Windows 11 version 23H2 Enterprise and Education editions are scheduled to reach their end of updates on November 10, 2026. Microsoft recommends that organizations transition to version 25H2, which will receive updates for these editions until October 11, 2028.

Additionally, Windows 11 version 24H2 Home and Pro editions will see their support end on October 13, 2026. These consumer editions follow a 24-month support cycle. Enterprise and Education variants of version 24H2 will receive extended support until 2027. Microsoft suggests upgrading to version 25H2 to maintain security coverage.

Separately, support for Windows Server 2022 (including Datacenter, Datacenter Azure Edition, Essentials, and Standard) is also set to conclude on October 13, 2026.
