Microsoft Announces Permanent Xbox Console Exclusives Including Gears of War

Microsoft confirmed a shift back to permanent console‑only titles for Xbox at the Xbox Games Showcase marking the brand’s 25‑year anniversary. The company said that the upcoming releases *Gears of War: E‑Day* and *Clockwork Revolution* will be exclusive to Xbox consoles and will not launch on Sony’s PlayStation 5, despite reports that a PS5 version was near completion.

According to Xbox spokesperson Matt Booty, the move is intended to give consumers a clear reason to buy an Xbox, while live‑service multiplayer games will continue to appear on as many platforms as possible.
