Microsoft Copilot joins AI chatbot lineup on Apple CarPlay

Microsoft Copilot has officially joined the growing list of AI chatbots compatible with Apple CarPlay. This integration allows drivers to engage in voice-based conversations, starting new queries or continuing existing chat histories synchronized from their iPhones, provided they are using iOS 26.4 or later.

With the addition of Copilot, the available AI assistants on CarPlay include ChatGPT, Perplexity, Grok, Meta AI, Claude, and the upcoming Siri AI. Notably, Google Gemini remains the only major AI chatbot currently missing from the platform, despite its deep integration within the Android ecosystem.

The rollout of the new Siri AI is expected alongside iOS 27, though its availability in the European Union may be delayed due to regulatory constraints related to the Digital Markets Act.
