Microsoft Corporation sees mixed institutional investment activity

Recent SEC filings reveal diverse movements among institutional investors regarding their holdings in Microsoft Corporation.

Several firms increased their positions during recent quarters. FinArc Investments Inc. acquired 7,106 shares valued at approximately $2.63 million, while Compass Capital Management Inc. raised its stake by 2.6%, bringing its total holdings to 171,001 shares worth roughly $63.3 million. Other notable increases include holdings by Vanguard Group Inc., State Street Corp, and Geode Capital Management LLC.

Conversely, some institutions reduced their exposure. Cim LLC cut its stake by 28.1% in the first quarter, leaving it with 9,653 shares. Arete Wealth Advisors LLC also reduced its position by 8.2%, maintaining a holding of 47,897 shares valued at $17.74 million.

Institutional investors and hedge funds currently own approximately 71.13% of Microsoft's stock.
