Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central launches Quality Management Module

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central has added a new Quality Management module that embeds inspection, non‑conformance tracking and compliance tools directly into the core ERP system. The feature replaces fragmented spreadsheets and stand‑alone applications by allowing manufacturers and distributors to create consistent inspection checkpoints for raw materials, work‑in‑process items and finished goods. Users can record defects, manage corrective actions and analyse quality trends across products, vendors and production lines, improving visibility and reducing scrap and rework.

By integrating quality data with inventory, purchasing, manufacturing and financial processes, the module strengthens product traceability and supports audit requirements for regulated industries. The unified approach aims to streamline operational workflows, enhance collaboration across departments and help organizations maintain higher product reliability while controlling costs.
