Microsoft expands Copilot AI to Teams and 365 Cowork for global customers
Microsoft announced that its Copilot artificial‑intelligence features are now broadly available across its productivity suite. In Microsoft Teams, Copilot can automatically summarize meetings, capture discussion points, suggest follow‑up tasks and answer queries, offering seven concrete use‑cases that aim to reduce everyday time loss for employees, managers and executives.
At the same time, the Copilot Cowork agent moves from test to general‑availability for all Microsoft‑365 customers worldwide. Cowork executes complete tasks—such as data analysis, document comparison and list generation—across multiple applications without user prompting. The service runs on a multi‑model architecture, includes granular cost‑management tools, and integrates with security and audit features. Early adoption figures cite more than half of Fortune‑500 firms already using the agent.
Both releases are positioned as part of Microsoft’s broader push to embed generative AI directly into workplace workflows.
