Microsoft named top employer in 2026 global rankings

Forbes, in collaboration with Statista, has released the 2026 ‘World’s Best Employers’ list based on a study of over 300,000 employees across more than 50 countries. The research focused on employees at multinational corporations with more than 1,000 staff members.

Participants evaluated employers based on criteria such as benefits, talent development, work environment, and training opportunities, as well as their likelihood to recommend their company to friends or family.

Microsoft secured the top position for the third consecutive year. Delta Air Lines maintained its second-place ranking, followed by Shopify in third, which saw a significant rise from 14th place. Costco ranked fourth, moving up from 12th, while Nvidia completed the top five. Adobe was ranked sixth.

Mark Keiter, head of the Centre for Strategy and Performance at the University of Cambridge, noted that top international employers succeed by providing employees with clarity, necessary resources to achieve goals, and trust.
