Microsoft Outlook adds drag‑and‑drop calendar scheduling

Microsoft announced that the Outlook calendar will gain a drag‑and‑drop feature that lets users move appointments directly in the day or week view. The change, listed on the Microsoft 365 roadmap, is slated for rollout as early as next month and is expected to be generally available by August 2026. The update aims to simplify meeting rescheduling for the millions of Outlook users in Germany and across Europe.

Alongside the drag‑and‑drop capability, Microsoft expanded calendar export options, allowing users to export meetings as ICS files or sync with external iCalendar services. The company also highlighted improvements to the "Recall" email function, though its effectiveness still depends on recipient settings.
